Welcome to Home Hill State School

Home Hill State School is a Band 7 school with eleven classes from prep to year 6. It first opened on March 25, 1913 and is the only state primary school in the township of Home Hill.

The Bruce Highway passes through the town. By road, Home Hill is approximately ninety-five kilometres, or one hour's drive, south of Townsville and a short ten minute drive across the Burdekin River from its 'twin town' of Ayr.

Our School strives to ensure all students are provided with the opportunity to learn, succeed, achieve and improve.  Academic success and achievement are coupled with a wide range of arts, cultural and sporting opportunities.
We welcome your enquiries and look forward to working with you in partnership to progress your child's or children's education.
