Interhouse Sports
Students compete in three annual Interhouse carnivals; Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics. Our Sports Houses are Griffith (blue), Herbert (yellow), Kendall (red), and Lilley (green).
At each of these sporting events, Age Champions (male and female) are determined. School teams are selected after the carnivals to compete at the 9-12 years Burdekin School Sports Carnival. From these, teams are selected to represent the Burdekin District at North Queensland Trials.
House Champion Award:
The House that has accumulated the most points for each Interhouse Carnival is awarded the House Champion Trophy. This is presented after each event (Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics).
Lion Heart Award:
The Lion Heart Award is awarded to the House that demonstrates best overall spirit through cheering, chanting and applauding at each of the carnivals.
Annual Sports Awards:
Sportsperson of the Year
This award is presented to the student who has represented their school, district, region and/or state in the arena of sports. This award is calculated on a points system.
